ADCS president backs minister’s call to reduce private care placements

The president of the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS) has backed government plans to reduce the use of private care providers. Speaking to CYP Now at the association’s recent annual conference in Manchester, president Rachael Wardell praised measures to reduce the number of foster care and children’s home places provided by private operators and to legislate to curtail the level of profits they make.
