Adoption UK has published a report looking at the experiences of adoptive families and their children across the UK in 2018. Findings from responses to a survey from 3,500 adoptive parents include: 56% of established families reported that they are facing significant or extreme challenges; 65% of parents experienced violence or aggression from their child; and nearly three-quarters of parents agreed that their 16-25 year-olds need, or would need significant ongoing support in order to live independently.
