The Centre for Research in Social Policy at Loughborough University has published research estimating the cost of child poverty in the UK which and found that the cost of dealing with child poverty has risen by £8 billion since 2013. The study looked at the level of child poverty, earnings and benefits spending on services due to child poverty and policies that direct public spending towards children in low-income families.
