The Children’s Commissioner for England has published the third annual children’s mental health briefing looking at the provision of children and young people’s mental health services in England. The report finds that in 2018/19: an additional 53,000 children entered treatment; around one in four children and young people with a diagnosable mental health condition were referred to services; and children and young people waited an average of 53 days to enter treatment.
