Children’s residential care

The Guardian has reported on research from Oxford University looking at how the outsourcing of children’s social care to the private sector has influenced placement locality and long-term stability over time. Findings include: for-profit outsourcing is linked with more placements away from the child’s home and with more unstable, short-term placements.
