High criminalisation rates prompts government to review policing of children in care

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced a review of guidelines for agencies to help tackle the criminalisation of children in care. The National Protocol, which asks professionals to consider whether a child’s behaviour would lead to arrest if they lived with their family, will be revised to better support this vulnerable group.
