Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse interim report

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) has published the interim report from its research to date, including five public hearings, seven seminars and consulting with over 1,000 victims and survivors of abuse—many whose accounts of abuse are included in the report. Key findings from the report include a lack of transparency by some leaders on the failure of their institutions to protect children from sexual abuse; a call for child sexual abuse to be discussed more openly in society; and 18 new recommendations to government, police and others involved in child protection.
