‘Lonely’ and ‘unsafe’: Young people’s experiences of unregulated supported accommodation

Young people have shared their experiences of living in unregulated supported accommodation as a consultation into the use of such provision closes. The accounts provide a range of experiences from those who became involved in gang activity and reported being sexually assaulted to those who thrived in semi-independent settings. Many highlight the issues of finding new placements once existing ones have broken down. The accounts were originally shared with organisations who submitted responses to the government’s consultation. Read more.
