Number of children housed in B&Bs rises 18 per cent

The number of households with children living in bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation in England rose by 18 per cent in the last year, according to official statistics. Figures released by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government reveal that there were 2,420 households with children in B&Bs at 31 December 2018 – 34.7 percent of all households living in such accommodation – up from 2,050 at the same time in 2017.
