The NSPCC, along with 26 other charities and groups have submitted an open letter to Education Secretary Gavin Williamson, urging the government to move forward with a commitment to carry out a ‘bold and broad’ independent review of the care system in England. The letter sets out what the aims, scope and principles of the review should be, including: independent, evidence-based and backed by a commitment from Government to act on the review’s recommendations.
