The Department for Health & Social Care has published the fifth progress report of the Suicide Prevention Strategy for England setting out the steps taken to reduce deaths by suicide since January 2019. The report includes: a section on suicide among children and young people and finds that there were 565 registered suicides in people under the age of 25, one of the largest rises of the last decade.
