Tolhurst rules out review of free school meal eligibility

The Department for Education “does not currently have any plans” to assess the impact of rising inflation on eligibility for free school meals, according to new schools and childhood minister Kelly Tolhurst. Academics are calling on the government to widen eligibility to include families who are not living below the poverty threshold.
