Councils ‘prioritising crisis intervention funding’

The proportion of children’s services funding being spent on crisis interventions has increased markedly over the last decade, analysis has found. Research finds that while councils in England had increased children’s services spending by £800m for 2021/22, four out of every five pounds of this increase was spent on crisis intervention services.
