Fifth of pupils want access to counselling, survey finds

One in five children have asked their parents for access to a counsellor in schools, a survey has revealed. Meanwhile, almost nine in ten parents believe mental health counselling should be freely available in schools. The findings have been published by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which has also released guidance to help head teachers develop counselling services. Read more.
