The CSA Centre has published a report on the provision and availability of child sexual abuse support services in England and Wales. Research involved interviews with 168 services providing support to children and adults who have experienced child sexual abuse and/or their families. Key findings show: services were scarce relative to demand and need, with huge geographical variation; fewer than a quarter of services were operating across multiple regions, and most had limited capacity; and half of services said they could not keep up with demand. The report calls on policymakers to ensure sufficient funding for services to maintain their current provision and provide timely support.
