The Fostering Network has published a report looking at how allegations made against foster carers are investigated. Findings from a survey of 3,352 foster carers from across the UK include: 14% of the foster carers who completed the survey said they had experienced at least one allegation in the past two years, of which 61% were unfounded, 22% were unsubstantiated and 3% were substantiated; and of those foster carers who had experienced an allegation, 36% said there was no support offered to children living in the household.
