More than half of children subjected to a deprivation of liberty (DoL) order in July and August last year were placed in at least one unregistered setting in the first six months of the order being granted, new analysis finds. Some 53.8 per cent of children included in the study by Nuffield Family Justice Observatory (FJO) were placed in settings including semi-independent accommodation, hospital wards, and temporary rented accommodation, such as hotels or caravans.
