National Disability Strategy

The Department for Works and Pensions has published a new National Disability Strategy for England, setting out the actions the government will take to improve the lives of all disabled people including children and young people. The strategy states that disabled children and young people should have the same opportunities to fulfil their potential as non-disabled children, and includes a section outlining action to support disabled children in education, as well as broader action such as changing perceptions which will benefit disabled children. The strategy includes information about the key strategies in place in the devolved administrations.
